ZILLAHLAKES
Gala Grand Opening this Weekend
Special
incentives available for out-of town visitors, home purchasers
and lot reservations
Zillah
Prairies LLC and United Builders of Washington are pleased
to celebrate the Grand Opening of the innovative Zillah
Lakes community. It will take place this Saturday and Sunday,
September 20 & 21st at Zillah Lakes (Yakima Valley Highway
& Barbee Rd, between Zillah & Buena). The weekend
will feature many incentives and activities to highlight
the community’s location in the heart of Yakima’s
burgeoning wine country.
Zillah
Lakes is 650-lot planned community, nestled at the base
of the premiere vineyard region of the Lower Yakima Valley.
Over two dozen world-class wineries and tasting rooms are
within a 20 minute drive. The innovative community plan
incorporates a 16 acre lake, a world-class 9 hole golf course,
and the safety, sense of community, and amenities of a village
and town center. Most homesites open directly onto the lake
or the golf course and the homes — built by United
Builders, the oldest residential construction firm in Washington,
— feature indoor/out patio living, mud rooms and pantries,
as well as up-to-the-minute technology.

For
the Grand Opening, homes are available at eye-popping
introductory prices either on the lake or the projected
golf course.
The project will be open from 11:30 AM to 6 PM both weekend
days and will include:
• Barbecue sandwiches & picnic dining
• 5 Model homes to tour
• Golf Cart tours of the overall project
• Wine Tours of nearby wineries departing every two
hours
• Complimentary tickets for a performance Saturday
Night (9/20) at The Seasons Performance Hall (within a few
minutes of Yakima hotels) by world-renowned jazz pianist,
Jessica Williams.
Grand
Opening speeches and ribbon cutting will take place at 1
PM Saturday including:
Curtis King, State Representative
Rand Elliot & Mike Leita, Yakima County Commissioners
Gary Clark, Mayor, Town of Zillah

Zillah Lakes News
Sheriff’s
department to announce selection of Zillah Lakes for next
station.
Zillah Lakes is pleased to announce that theYakima County
Sheriff’s department has selected Zillah Lakes for
their Lower Valley substation and are working to get funding
and details in place to make the official announcement.
The 3300 sq ft facility would be in the fountain roundabout
area at the entry to The Zillah Lakes Community off Yakima
Valley Highway. The building will be designed in the Zillah
Lakes style and will be in use 24 hrs a day.
A
better guarantee of community security could not be imagined!
We are also working with several police and sheriff officers
who are potential purchasers in the community. We welcome
the Yakima County Sheriff’s Department to Zillah Lakes.
Entry
Signage:
We hoped to have entry signage completed by the time of
the Grand Opening; alas some details have delayed the completion.
We will have partially finished those signs, however, and
we’ll have renderings available. The entry monument
will be one of the most distinctive in the valley, being
a combination of sign and artistry. It will combine live
vineyard plantings with signage in a unique way that will
refer to our Zillah Lakes logo.
Golf
Course Freebie!
Many know that the development of our golf course has been
held up for nearly two years by a pending decision by the
US Army Corps of Engineers regarding a stream that meanders
through the property. We will have two Major announcements
to make at our grand opening:
1)
A final decision and permit by The Corps of Engineers, which
should allow us to begin work on the golf course late this
year.
2) Announcement of a partnership with the nearby Mt. Adams
Golf Course that will allow ANY purchaser in Zillah Lakes
greens fees for FREE until we are able to provide a playable
golf course at Zillah Lakes (now anticipated for Spring
of 2010.)
Now that’s a great mulligan, isn’t it?
