Our new sales office, where we hosted last weekend’s Grand Re-opening, is located in the Wine Country cottages, right off the entry overlooking the 2nd hole of our golf course.

Last weekend we introduced a Grand Re-Opening of Zillah Lakes, to the public and realtors. So many things are new in Zillah that it was important to acquaint the public with the newest and best information.

Several move-in ready homes were on display, for those interested in touring a home for sale. They ranged in size from an 800 sq/ft Wine Country Cottage getaway home for only $139,000 to a luxury 3bed/2ba 1668 sq/ft Ahtanum home with lakefront exposure.  For those who made it out, free golf was offered on our 6 hole golf course, eats, tours, boating, even fishing (bass/trout/perch catch and release) was featured.

Announcements included:

  • Opening of 23 new golf and lake lots for reservation. With only 4 lots left in Phase I, it was past time to expand! The new lots will be ready for home-building late this year, and occupied by early spring of 2015. You may take a look at the gorgeous new lot locations near the 3rd Green and lining the lake.  Put your name on one!  Reservation fee is a fully refundable $1000 that becomes non-refundable at purchaser discretion next year when paving is finished.
  • A brand new wine country boulevard running through Zillah Lakes, as well as its estimated development timeline. This $8 million project will  bring radical new commercial opportunities as early as next spring, and guarantee completion of the project according to the vision.

    Groundbreaking for a new Zillah Lakes Event Center in the Zillah Lakes Town Center.  It’s a 4500 sq ft facility that will host weddings, conferences, and get-togethers for up to 300 people.

  • Conceptual Design for a planned Boutique Hotel and Bistro in our Town Center.  The Hotel is planned for opening in late spring of 2015, with the Bistro opening later next year.
  • The announcement of Himsl Realty as listing Office and representative for Zillah Lakes, and how this will improve our sales handling and realtor community involvement in the project.
This changes EVERYTHING!

The most exciting announcement was a new, proposed routing of a 2 mile extension of Vintage Valley Road. A significant improvement over original plans, it features a graceful tree-lined boulevard boulevardthat will extend from Exit 52 and terminate at Exit 50 (on Buena Road) with a new “Gateway to Wine Country.” Federal and State commitments have already been secured by the City of Zillah. A grant/loan from New Vision of Yakima will help complete this once-in-a lifetime project.

It is not too much to say that this one project will change the lower valley forever. Dedicated right-of-way and a realistic development schedule should be available for review within the next few months.  Periodic updates on the project and developer participation will be available in this newsletter.

With these changes, opportunities for investors and homebuyers will open up. We have information on a projected timeline, zoning, pricing and location for those interested — or ready to re-ignite their interest — in Zillah Lakes! Doug Himsl has been a major player in the lower valley realty market for many years, out of his office in Prosser.  Having recently opened an office in Yakima, his company is the perfect match for Zillah Lakes property sales. Doug was on hand at the Open House to introduce himself and help with any questions people had related to lot reservation, purchase, or building a home at Zillah Lakes.

These businesses are owned and managed by former members of United Builders and some of the top carpenters and homebuilders in the area. You may also bring your own builder to build your home, but each new builder must be approved for quality, customer service, and integrity of home design as part of their work at Zillah Lakes.  The good news is that it’s easier than ever to buy a lot and build a home at Zillah Lakes.
